14 September 2026 – R-ace GP continues to make history in the Michelin Le Mans Cup! At Silverstone, the venue for the sixth round of the season, the #85 Duqueine D09 driven by Enzo Peugeot and Danial Frost finished second on the podium. This result allows the team to clinch both the Team and Drivers’ Championships for the second year running, with one round still to go.
Free Practices
R-ace GP maintained its strong form right from the first free practice session on Friday morning. The #85 car driven by Enzo Peugeot and Danial Frost set the second-fastest time in the first session, whilst the #86 car driven by Zack Scoular and Léna Bühler finished fifth.
This trend continued in Free Practice 2, with the #85 car this time topping the session. Enzo Peugeot and Danial Frost set the fastest time of 1:54.207. The #86 car, however, had a more difficult session and finished in fourteenth place.
Qualifying
At midday on Saturday, the #85 car continued its strong form in qualifying. Enzo Peugeot set the fastest time of the session with a lap of 1:53.717, securing pole position for the 4 Hours of Silverstone. This is the Vendée-based team’s second pole position of the season.
Meanwhile, Zack Scoular secured tenth place on the grid for the #86 car.
Race
Danial Frost started at the wheel of the #85 and held the lead in the opening laps. Behind him, Léna Bühler got off to an excellent start in the #86 and gradually worked her way up the field. The Swiss driver put in a very good stint, moving up from eleventh to sixth place.
As the race approached the halfway point, however, Danial Frost eventually lost the lead ahead of the mandatory pit stops. Enzo Peugeot then took over at the wheel of the #85, whilst Zack Scoular got into the #86.
The rest of the race proved more eventful for the #86. Several incidents, both on the track and in the pits, disrupted its progress and caused it to drop down the order.
At the front, Enzo Peugeot went on the attack. The driver of the #85 managed to reclaim the lead and crossed the chequered flag in first place. However, a penalty altered the final standings, demoting the #85 to second place.
The #86, meanwhile, finished the race in eighth place.
Another title for R-ace GP and the #85
This second-place finish is, however, enough to make the whole team happy. With the points scored at Silverstone, the #85 now has a sufficient lead in the championship to secure both the Team and Drivers’ titles.
“We had the potential to win, but we’re still very happy because our sound strategic choices secured the title for us. It’s brilliant for the team and for Danial and Enzo. It’s the reward for a very well-executed season, with consistent results and excellent performances from the whole team,” said Fabien Lavergne, Team Manager.
For the second year running, R-ace GP and the #85 Duqueine D09 have thus clinched the Michelin Le Mans Cup title at Silverstone, with one round to spare. It seems the British circuit brings the Vendée-based team good luck!
