20 July 2026 – The second round of the EURO4 championship took place this weekend at the Paul Ricard circuit, in France. After a strong start at Round 1 in Vallelunga, R-ace GP continued its momentum with an excellent weekend at Le Castellet: a triple pole position, a double win overall and in the Rookie category, and five podiums.

Free Practice

On Friday morning, Andy Consani finished 2nd in the first session. Kenzo Craigie was 5th, Philippe Karras 13th, Jean Karras 23rd and Tomika Gender 33rd.

In the afternoon, Kenzo Craigie topped the second session with a lap in 2:06.899. Andy Consani finished 9th, ahead of Jean Karras in 19th, Tomika Gender in 28th, and Philippe Karras in 35th.

Qualifying

Kenzo Craigie claimed a triple pole position, setting the fastest time in both Q1 and Q2 (2:06.377, then 2:06.305). Andy Consani confirmed his strong form with 4th and 2nd places. Philippe Karras qualified 10th then 13th, Jean Karras 16th then 19th, while Tomika Gender finished 38th on both occasions.

Race 1

Andy Consani stepped onto the podium with a strong 2nd place, ahead of Kenzo Craigie in 3rd. The Karras brothers both made the top 10, with Jean finishing 7th and his brother Philippe 8th. Tomika Gender crossed the line in 26th.

Race 2

Kenzo Craigie took the overall win and claimed victory in the Rookie category. Andy Consani finished 4th, ahead of Philippe Karras (13th), Tomika Gender (34th) and Jean Karras (36th).

Race 3

Kenzo Craigie secured his second win of the weekend, confirming his success in the Rookie category. Andy Consani followed in 2nd place, ahead of Jean Karras (11th) and Tomika Gender (24th). Philippe Karras was forced to retire.

After three strong races, Kenzo Craigie takes the lead of the provisional standings, both overall and in the Rookie category, while R-ace GP moves up to third place in the team standings.

The third and final round of the season will take place at Monza on 10 and 11 October!

6 July 2026 – The 2026 EURO4 Championship got underway this weekend at Vallelunga, Italy. In the opening round of the season, R-ace GP delivered a strong performance, highlighted by an overall victory for Kenzo Craigie and two Rookie class wins.

From the opening free practice sessions, Kenzo Craigie is immediately among the front-runners, setting the second and third fastest times. Andy Consani records the seventh and nineteenth quickest laps, while Philippe Armand Karras finishes 28th and 25th. Jean-Paul Karras ends the sessions in 23rd and 29th, ahead of Tomika Gender in 34th and 35th.

In qualifying, Craigie confirms his pace by finishing seventh in Q1 before claiming second place in Q2. Consani qualifies ninth and tenth, while Philippe Armand Karras records 26th in both sessions. Jean-Paul Karras qualifies 34th and 30th, with Tomika Gender finishing 35th and 33rd.

Race 1

Craigie finishes sixth overall and takes victory in the Rookie class. Consani crosses the line in ninth place, while Gender finishes 30th ahead of Jean-Paul Karras in 32nd and Philippe Armand Karras in 35th.

Race 2

Craigie takes his first overall victory of the season and secures a second Rookie class win. Philippe Armand Karras finishes 25th, ahead of Consani in 26th, Jean-Paul Karras in 30th and Gender in 31st.

Race 3

Craigie finishes 10th, while Philippe Armand Karras records his best result of the weekend with 14th place. Consani takes the chequered flag in 22nd, Jean-Paul Karras finishes 23rd, and Gender is forced to retire.

R-ace GP leaves Vallelunga with one overall victory and two Rookie wins thanks to Craigie. The British driver moves up to second in the provisional drivers’ standings, while R-ace GP sits third in the teams’ championship.

The team now heads to France for Round 2 of the EURO4 Championship at Circuit Paul Ricard in two weeks’ time.

21 July 2025 – The EURO 4 championship officially kicked off last weekend at the Paul Ricard circuit in Le Castellet. It was a weekend of learning for Alex Powell, Emily Cotty, Oleksandr Savinkov and Guys Albag. The team secured two top 10 finishes thanks to Powell. 

Free practice: a great start in FP1, but a wrong turn in FP2 

The first free practice session set the tone: Alex Powell clocked the second fastest time in FP1, immediately confirming his potential. Emily Cotty, Oleksandr Savinkov and Guy Albag finished 17th, 18th and 24th respectively.

Alex Powell remained in the top 10 in the second free practice session, while his teammates finished in similar positions to FP1. The team took a direction that did not seem to be the right one, which would subsequently have consequences for qualifying.

Qualifying: Powell in the top 10, successful Q1 for Cotty

Alex Powell qualified 9th in Q1 and 8th in Q2, securing a top 10 start.

Emily Cotty, in good form, finished 14th in the first session, followed by Guy Albag in 17th position, closely followed by Oleksandr Savinkov in 18th. The latter improved his performance in the second session and qualified 13th. Guy Albag finished 19th and Emily Cotty 21st. 

Race 1: Emily Cotty achieves her best result in European F4 

The first race, on saturday afternoon, was tumultuous. In the early laps, Alex Powell was hit by another competitor, forcing him to retire early. His teammate Oleksandr Savinkov suffered the same fate. Despite the incidents on the track, Emily Cotty had a solid race, crossing the finish line in 13th place (her best result in a European F4 series) and winning the women’s category. Guy Albag finished in 15th place.

Race 2: First points in the championship

On Sunday morning, the second race saw Alex Powell score his first points in EURO 4. The Jamaican driver finished in the top 10, in 7th place. Oleksandr Savinkov finished 16th, while Emily Cotty crossed the finish line in 21st place. She won the women’s category. Guy Albag was forced to retire after suffering a puncture early in the race. 

Race 3: Powell flirts with the podium

The final race of the weekend on Sunday afternoon got off to a superb start for Alex Powell, who gained two places to move into 4th position. He held on to his place until crossing the finish line. A solid and masterful performance. Oleksandr Savinkov finished 12th, followed closely by Guy Albag in 14th place. Unfortunately, Emily Cotty was forced to retire after going off the track early in the race.

This first round of the Euro 4 season highlighted the team’s potential. Alex Powell stood out for his speed and consistency in the leading pack. Emily Cotty left Paul Ricard with two victories in the women’s category and showed impressive progress in qualifying and Race 1.

Although the weekend was marked by numerous racing incidents, the positive signare encouraging for the rest of the championship. 

The next round of EURO 4 will take place at the Mugello circuit on 14 September.
