R-ace GP EURO4 Vallelunga Kenzo Craigie win

6 July 2026 – The 2026 EURO4 Championship got underway this weekend at Vallelunga, Italy. In the opening round of the season, R-ace GP delivered a strong performance, highlighted by an overall victory for Kenzo Craigie and two Rookie class wins.

From the opening free practice sessions, Kenzo Craigie is immediately among the front-runners, setting the second and third fastest times. Andy Consani records the seventh and nineteenth quickest laps, while Philippe Armand Karras finishes 28th and 25th. Jean-Paul Karras ends the sessions in 23rd and 29th, ahead of Tomika Gender in 34th and 35th.

In qualifying, Craigie confirms his pace by finishing seventh in Q1 before claiming second place in Q2. Consani qualifies ninth and tenth, while Philippe Armand Karras records 26th in both sessions. Jean-Paul Karras qualifies 34th and 30th, with Tomika Gender finishing 35th and 33rd.

Race 1

Craigie finishes sixth overall and takes victory in the Rookie class. Consani crosses the line in ninth place, while Gender finishes 30th ahead of Jean-Paul Karras in 32nd and Philippe Armand Karras in 35th.

Race 2

Craigie takes his first overall victory of the season and secures a second Rookie class win. Philippe Armand Karras finishes 25th, ahead of Consani in 26th, Jean-Paul Karras in 30th and Gender in 31st.

Race 3

Craigie finishes 10th, while Philippe Armand Karras records his best result of the weekend with 14th place. Consani takes the chequered flag in 22nd, Jean-Paul Karras finishes 23rd, and Gender is forced to retire.

R-ace GP leaves Vallelunga with one overall victory and two Rookie wins thanks to Craigie. The British driver moves up to second in the provisional drivers’ standings, while R-ace GP sits third in the teams’ championship.

The team now heads to France for Round 2 of the EURO4 Championship at Circuit Paul Ricard in two weeks’ time.
