April 13, 2026 – This past weekend, R-ace GP kicked off its Michelin Le Mans Cup (MLMC) season in Barcelona. As the reigning champions, the Vendée-based team quickly set the pace: a 1–2 in qualifying, victory in the race with the #85, and a third-place finish for the #86. Let’s take a look back at a very strong opening weekend.
This year, the team is fielding two Duqueine D09 cars in the LMP3 category: the #85 driven by Franco-Japanese driver Enzo Peugeot and Singapore’s Danial Frost, and the #86 crewed by New Zealand’s Zack Scoular and Switzerland’s Léna Bühler.
Prologue
Ahead of the official race weekend, teams and drivers took part in the traditional pre-season official test day. The #85 (Peugeot–Frost) delivered a flawless performance, topping both sessions. Results were more mixed for the #86, which finished P2 and P17.

Free Practice
In the morning, FP1 saw the #85 top the timesheets once again, with its sister car the #86, just behind in third place. FP2, later in the day, produced more moderate results, with the #85 finishing P7 and the #86 P20.
Qualifying
Early in the afternoon, Enzo Peugeot and Zack Scoular were designated to qualify the #85 and #86 respectively. Both drivers took the challenge seriously, and by the end of the session, Peugeot secured pole position with a 1:36.357 lap, while Scoular qualified in P2—locking out the front row for R-ace GP.

Race
The start of the opening race of the season was given in the late afternoon, with Danial Frost in the #85 and Léna Bühler in the #86. At the green flag, Frost made a strong getaway, while Bühler defended her position firmly. The first hour of the race was disrupted by several incidents, but both R-ace GP entries remained at the front of the field.
Both LMP3 cars were among the first to pit for the driver change. Enzo Peugeot took over the #85, while Zack Scoular climbed aboard the #86. Pushing hard on track, both drivers quickly regained their starting positions.
The #85 was the first to cross the finish line, with Enzo Peugeot and Danial Frost securing the team’s first victory of the season. Overtaken just minutes before the checkered flag, the #86 of Zack Scoular and Léna Bühler finished third, sealing a strong double podium for R-ace GP.

The team will be back in action in a few weeks’ time for the second round of the Le Mans Cup at Circuit Paul Ricard in Le Castellet.
