14 January 2026 – With the winter season just days away, R-ace GP has announced the three drivers who will represent the team in the 2026 Formula Regional Middle East Trophy.

Following the UAE4 Series, it is now time to introduce R-ace GP’s Formula Regional Middle East Trophy drivers. For the 2026 campaign, the team is relying on a well-balanced mix of promising young talents and proven competitors:

  • Rashid Al Dhaheri (Mercedes-AMG F1 Junior Driver, multiple podium finisher in Formula Regional championships in 2025)
  • Yuki Sano (member of the TGR Driver Challenge programme, multiple race winner in Super Formula Lights)
  • Gerrard Xie (Formula 3 driver), who will contest the first two rounds of the championship.

First competition with the new Formula Regional car

This season, like all teams on the grid, R-ace GP is starting from a clean slate with the brand-new Tatuus T-326 Formula Regional car. It represents an additional challenge for the Vendée-based outfit, which is more ready than ever to rise to it.

The championship will get underway this Saturday, 17 January, at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi.
