
22 September 2025 – The penultimate round of the Italian F4 Championship took place at the Barcelona circuit. Despite a mixed weekend, R-ace GP secured another podium finish with Emanuele Olivieri coming third in Race 1. The team thus remains third in the overall standings.
Free practice: strong pace from Olivieri
Emanuele Olivieri (#68) showed strong pace on Friday. The Italian finished second and fourth in the two free practice sessions.
Alex Powell (#41) finished 18th and 14th, while his teammate Andy Consani (#11), also junior driver at Mercedes, finished 5th and 24th.
Luca Viisoreanu (#11), who joined the team for the Spanish round, finished 14th and 12th.
Emily Cotty (#42) finished 19th and 21st, and Guy Albag (#44) 27th in the two sessions.
Qualifying: Olivieri takes double pole
Emanuele Olivieri continued his strong performance the following morning. The Italian driver qualified 2nd for Race 1 and took double pole position for Races 2 and 3.
Emily Cotty showed clear progress in Qualifying 2, finishing 11th.
Race 1: Olivieri takes the podium
Emanuele Olivieri lost two positions at the start but fought fiercely for the podium. In the final third of the race, Andy Consani went off the track and retired. At the front, Emanuele Olivieri moved up to third place. On the final lap, Alex Powell gained two places with a superb overtaking.
Emanuele Olivieri secured his fourth podium finish of the season. Alex Powell finished 10th, Guy Albag 19th and Emily Cotty 25th. Luca Viisoreanu stopped on the final lap and did not finish the race.

Race 2: Cotty achieves her best result in Italian F4
On Sunday morning, the second race started behind the safety car due to bad weather. At the start, Emanuele Olivieri was overtaken by his rivals and found himself in third place. At the end of the race, Luca Viisoreanu went off the track and retired.
Emanuele Olivieri finished fifth. Emily Cotty came in 11th, achieving her best result since the start of the season and winning the women’s category. She was followed by Alex Powell in 12th. Andy Consani and Guy Albag finished 33rd and 34th.

Race 3: rain cuts the race short
Dark clouds gathered over the Barcelona circuit. The race started, but a few minutes later, torrential rain interrupted the race.
Emanuele Olivieri finished just off the podium in 4th place. Alex Powell finished in the top 10, coming in 7th.
Andy Consani finished 15th, Luca Viisoreanu 20th, Guy Albag 23rd and Emily Cotty 32nd. Andy Consani finished 15th, Luca Viisoreanu 20th, Guy Albag 23rd and Emily Cotty 32nd. Despite a frustrating weekend in terms of the pace shown at the start of the race, R-ace GP remains in third place in the overall standings.
The final round of the season will take place on 11th and 12th October in Misano, Italy.
