7 September 2025 – The seventh round of the FRECA championship took place at the Red Bull Ring. It was another successful weekend for R-ace GP, which left Austria with three more podium finishes and the top spot in the provisional overall classification. 

Collective tests

Enzo Deligny (#23) was the fastest in the first collective test session with a time of 1:25.837. His teammates Jin Nakamura (#11) and Akshay Bohra (#31) finished 6th and 13th respectively.

In the second session, Bohra moved up to 8th place, while Deligny and Nakamura finished 11th and 16th.

Qualifying and Race 1: Deligny on the podium and Nakamura’s impressive comeback

On Saturday morning during qualifying, Akshay Bohra set the fastest time in his group in 1:25.981, followed by Enzo Deligny (2nd). Jin Nakamura, who suffered a mechanical problem, was unable to be classified.  

At the start of the race, Bohra took off from 2nd place and Deligny from 4th. Starting last, Nakamura made a spectacular comeback, gaining ten positions in the first few laps.

Deligny eventually took the lead over Bohra and crossed the finish line in 3rd place, giving R-ace GP its first podium of the weekend. Bohra finished fifth, while Nakamura finished in the top 10 (9th).

Qualifying and race 2: A double podium to end the weekend

On Sunday morning, the team confirmed its competitiveness: Enzo Deligny set the fastest lap time in qualifying in his group with a time of 1:25.142, ahead of Nakamura (2nd) and Bohra (5th).

Starting in 2nd place, Deligny immediately put pressure on the leader, closely followed by his teammate Jin Nakamura. Behind them, Bohra, who started from 10th place, lost two positions.

By the end of the race, Enzo Deligny took 2nd place ahead of Jin Nakamura, 3rd, who secured his first podium finish in FRECA as well. It was a mixed result for Akshay Bohra, who finished 12th.

R-ace GP takes the lead in the championship

It was the end of another solid weekend for R-ace GP, which has now claimed nine podium finishes since the start of the season. These results have enabled the Vendée-based team to take the lead in the provisional championship standings with 330 points. The next meetings will therefore be decisive in extending the lead and securing a superb trophy at the end of the season.
