R-ace GP

THE EXCELLENCE-DRIVEN TEAM

Histoire

R-ace GP was born in 2011 thanks to the meeting of Thibaut de Mérindol and Cyril Comte, both motorsport engineers. The spirit of R-ace GP is made of their shared vision of the job, their experience in Formula Renault and the synergy of their skills. First based near La Rochelle, the racing team moved to Fontenay-le-Comte in Vendée (Central-West of France), in a center entirely dedicated to the automobile industry.

The team’s first win (Nyck de Vries in NEC in 2012), the collaboration with ART Grand Prix, the title in Renault Sport Trophy with Andrea Pizzitola, are moments that shaped the team’s identity. The recognition came in 2017 and 2018, with the drivers’ and teams’ championships in Formula Renault Eurocup and NEC. Over the years, new members joined the team, trophies are filling up the shelves in the factory and new challenges replace the championships that ceased to exist.

R-ace GP is a group of passionate people, engaged in the pursuit of performance. Because we don’t take anything for granted, the team’s daily work is made in order to aim for excellence. The R-ace GP state of mind is embraced by each team member to give the drivers the means to develop their talent.

It’s the determination, as well as commitment from this young and dynamic group, that make R-ace GP a reference team in the training of tomorrow’s motorsport champions.
