4 August 2025 – Double pole position, double victory and double podium: R-ace GP literally flew over the sixth round of FRECA this weekend, at the legendary Imola circuit. The French team struck a major blow with its drivers Enzo Deligny and Akshay Bohra. A weekend mastered from start to finish for the team, which leaves Italy with lots of confidence… and trophies!
Collective practice: The tone is set
R-ace GP showed its ambitions right from Friday’s collective practice sessions. Enzo Deligny (#23) set the fastest time in the first session with a lap of 1:39.044. His teammates Akshay Bohra (#31) and Jin Nakamura (#11) were not far behind, finishing 3rd and 5th respectively. In the second session, Enzo Deligny confirmed his form with the 3rd fastest time, while Jin Nakamura and Akshay Bohra finished further back in 12th and 18th.
Qualifying and Race 1: Enzo Deligny dominates to take pole and victory

In qualifying for Race 1, Enzo Deligny secured pole position with a time of 1:38.585, the fastest time of both groups combined. In Group B, Akshay Bohra finished 2nd and Jin Nakamura 4th, securing good starting positions for R-ace GP.
At the start of the race, Enzo Deligny retained the lead, while Akshay Bohra lost a place and Jin Nakamura gained one. A series of incidents quickly led to a red flag. After the restart, Deligny continued to lead comfortably, while Bohra moved up to third place. On the final lap, an incident caused Jin Nakamura to drop to the bottom of the standings.
Enzo Deligny claimed his second victory of the season and Akshay Bohra took third place on the podium, his third of the season.
Qualifying and Race 2: Akshay Bohra’s turn to triumph

The next day, Akshay Bohra took his revenge in qualifying by securing pole position with a time of 1:38.503, the fastest of both groups. Enzo Deligny finished 2nd in his group, and Jin Nakamura 6th.
The second race got off to a tense start, with several cars crashing out in the early laps, bringing out the safety car. When the race restarted, Akshay Bohra and Enzo Deligny held onto their positions. Unfortunately, Jin Nakamura was involved in a collision with another competitor and had to retire. The end of the race went smoothly for the leading duo.
Akshay Bohra crossed the finish line in first place, claiming his first FRECA victory, while Deligny finished third. However, following the disqualification of a competitor, the Frenchman was promoted to second place, completing a one-two finish for R-ace GP.
R-ace GP second in the team standings
With a double pole position, a double victory and two double podium finishes, R-ace GP had a flawless performance at the Imola circuit. The team moved up to second place in the overall standings, just a few points behind the leader.
