6 July 2026 \u2013 R-ace GP came back stronger than ever over the FREC’s last two rounds, at Monza and then the Hungaroring. In five races, the Vend\u00e9e-based team added eight more podiums to its tally, including four wins. Here’s a look back at two outstanding rounds.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Round 4: Monza<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The weekend gets underway with free practice. Emanuele Olivieri finishes 14th, ahead of Rashid Al Dhaheri (17th) and Yuki Sano (22nd).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Qualifying 1, Olivieri backs that up by setting the 2nd fastest time, with Al Dhaheri 5th and Sano 14th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Race 1, Olivieri crosses the line 2nd overall and takes the Rookie win, while Al Dhaheri finishes 12th. Sano, meanwhile, is forced to retire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Race 2 goes the way of Al Dhaheri, who claims victory after a superb recovery drive from P8 to P1. Sano finishes 22nd, and Olivieri retires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emanuele Olivieri sets the outright fastest time in Qualifying 2, with a lap of 1:45.102, ahead of Sano (14th) and Al Dhaheri (26th).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Italian goes on to complete the double, winning both overall and in the Rookie classification. Yuki Sano also delivers a fantastic drive, climbing from P14 to P3 to score his first podium in a European championship. Rashid Al Dhaheri finishes 9th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Round 5: Hungaroring<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The team then heads to the Hungaroring for round five of the season. R-ace GP sets the pace from the start of free practice, with Olivieri topping the first session ahead of Sano (4th) and Al Dhaheri (5th). The second session is trickier, with Al Dhaheri 9th, Sano 12th and Olivieri 21st.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In qualifying for Race 1, Yuki Sano claims his first-ever FREC pole position with a lap of 1:37.760, ahead of Al Dhaheri (3rd) and Olivieri (4th). The Japanese driver makes it count, converting pole into victory, with Al Dhaheri 2nd and Olivieri 4th \u2014 the latter also taking the Rookie win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Race 2, it’s Rashid Al Dhaheri’s turn to take pole, with a lap in 1:37.639, ahead of Sano (3rd) and Olivieri (4th). The Emirati driver turns pole into a race win, with Olivieri adding another podium in 3rd. Sano finishes 19th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

R-ace GP and Rashid Al Dhaheri lead the championship<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Rashid Al Dhaheri retakes the lead<\/a> of the Drivers’ Championship with 151 points, while Emanuele Olivieri climbs to 4th with 116 points. In the Teams’ Championship, R-ace GP holds onto top spot with 322 points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
