May 4, 2026 \u2013 The second round of the Michelin Le Mans Cup took place this weekend at Circuit Paul Ricard in Le Castellet. It was a challenging meeting for R-ace GP, but one that still ended with an excellent second-place finish for the Duqueine D09 #85.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Friday, the #85 (Peugeot-Frost) and the #86 (Scoular-B\u00fchler) finished P7 and P16 respectively during FP1. Later in the day, both crews improved their lap times and ended the session in P3 (#85) and P9 (#86).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Qualifying<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

On Saturday at midday, the team endured a difficult qualifying session. Caught in traffic, the #86 driven by Zack Scoular and the #85 led by Enzo Peugeot could do no better than P6 and P10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Race<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The race got underway at 6:20 PM. L\u00e9na B\u00fchler in the #86 made an excellent start and quickly moved up to fourth position. Moments later, major scare for Danial Frost in the #85, who narrowly avoided a collision between two competitors. While the #86 climbed into third place, the #85 dropped down the order to 14th position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Around ten minutes before the pit window opened, the #85 began its comeback and fought its way back into the top 10. Enzo Peugeot and Zack Scoular then took the wheel for the #85 and #86 respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scoular was running in second position, while Peugeot steadily closed in on his rivals. Just as the #86 looked capable of fighting for victory, a rear wing issue forced Zack Scoular back into the pits. Despite attempts to repair the problem, the #86 was ultimately forced to retire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the closing minutes of the race, Enzo Peugeot capitalized on a rival\u2019s mistake to take second place, securing a podium finish alongside teammate Danial Frost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All eyes on Le Mans<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Although far from an easy weekend, the #85 nevertheless managed to retain the championship lead<\/a>. The team now heads to the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans circuit in one month\u2019s time for the third race of the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
